Sterivalve Web Site The sanitary valves that CESCO offers are designed exclusively for liquid biopharmaceutical processing.  They have a unique patented design of clamped double-membrane sealing.  It is designed with a truly static sealing between the atmosphere and the media for use in critical pharmaceutical applications. Configuration, design and housing connections ensure a totally dead-leg free design, which means full micro-biological control of the valve system, effectively preventing contamination by bacteria or endotoxins. CIP/SIP Performance - The design and hold up volume of the housing ensure optimal velocity of the cleaning agent during the CIP sequence.  This has been tried and tested in thousands of valves in validated plants all over the world. The open construction around the housing ensures an absolute safe and reproducable CIP/SIP result, avoiding any risks of contamination and temperature gradients.  It is possible to clean and steam the valve in the closed position. Limited valve sequences during the CIP/SIP simplifies automation.

Improved Drainability & Simplified Piping Design - The mechanical design of the housing gives the piping designer full aseptic freedom to design the process system in order to optimize production flow without regards to any possible technical limitation of the valve. Valves and piping drain considerably simpler and easier with this valve design.  This design reduces the number of valves in comparison to the traditional flat membrane valve concept by up to 30%, thus the total hold-up volume of the piping system is reduced accordingly.
 
Tank Bottom Outlet Valve:  The valve is totally drainable and CIP/SIP (Clean-In-Place/Sterile-In-Place).  Sizes from ½” up to 3”. The valve body is flush welded to the tank bottom thereby becoming an integral part of it.  The Bottom Outlet Valve is deadleg free and has self draining.  The internal contour of the valve has no dead spaces, hence the valve is very suitable in combination with mixers if the medium is sediment.

Extended Manual Actuator:  The extended handle allows for easy operation of the valve when it is difficult to reach under the tank.

Flow Through Valve:  The Flow Through Valve is totally drainable and CIP/SIP (Clean-In-Place/Sterile-In-Place) compatible.  Sizes from ½” up to 3". Proven performance in FDA approved plants and in accordance with GMP regulations. The valve is often welded or clamped into ring mains enabling the working medium to be taken or fed deadleg-free at an optimal point.

Shut-off Valve: This design allows for very flexible configurations that reduces up to 30% the number of valves in the pipe system (compared to flat membrane valves).  The shut off valve has a 90° angle from inlet to outlet and can easily be welded or clamped in. The valve is totally drainable and can be CIP/SIP'd (Clean-In-Place/Sterile-In-Place).
