This system is for processing and conditioning chewing gum for a major candy company in the midwest.  Note the three large horizontal scraped surface heat exchangers.  These provide uniform, controllable, and repeatable continuous thermal processing.

This system is a 2-stage vacuum evaporator plant used for concentrating gelatin by using two mechanical recompression fans. The plant is based on two rising film plate heat exchanger elements.  There is also a sterilizer plant that is designed to sterilize the concentrated gelatin by use of boiler steam, for direct heating of the product.  The evaporator plant and sterilizer plant are equipped with automatic CIP systems controlled by a PLC program.
