The gasketed plate heat exchanger is a compact and efficient heat transfer solution for a wide variety of applications in practically all industries. The plate corrugations promote fluid turbulence and support the plates against differential pressure. There are several types of gasketed plate heat exchanger designs, as follows.

The plates are fitted with a gasket, which seals the inter-plate channel and directs the fluids into alternating channels, making sure that the two media never mix.
